"Tarantino's Fighters"

Oil on Canvas; 2009

The painting "Tarantino's Fighters" broaches the issue of strong women and heroes in Taranino's films. He is in the background nearly without color, but the women are strong, colorful and powerful. I've chosen the vengeful Bride and Shosanna, because they are very beautiful drawn characters, but they are also abstract comic heroines. The canvas shows the exceptional relationship of three artistic beings living in differnt worlds. Tarantino is the creator of the erotic women, they give everything for reaching their goal of revenge. He has a very natural-intimous relationship to his characters and is the same time, because of his famousness not only a human, but the artistic character Quentin Tarantino. Blood has to be (for me) in in this picture. It starts at the sword of the Bride and makes up a connecting ornament for all three characters.

Making of

"Nosferatu in Oil"

Oil on Cardboard; 2008

This painting was painted in the course of the creation of the shortfilm you can also watch on this website. It is a classical portrait painting, with the "eyes that follow you effect". For this picture I have studied many screenshots of the Film and I have formed an expression to Nosferatu's face that should say: Hello, a warm welcome to my castle, but tonight I'll drink your blood.

"Peluche - Loved/Hated on Spaceship Enterprise"

Acryl, Oil, Lacquer on thin Chipboard; 2008

The painting is a tribute to the Tribbles in the Star Trek Series, and shows also my love for plush

"Battlestar - Aggression"

Acryl on Cardboard; 2008

This picture shows a very powerful and emotional frame of the first season of "Battlestar Gallactica". Often I choose strong emotions in film or tv as base for my paintings. Emotions and catching them in pictures is often a topic in my work, so I loved the main stories of this tv series.
